AquaCelle® – (patented delivery technology)

Omega+ has been enhanced by AquaCelle® to improve the absorption of all the fat-soluble ingredients (Omega DHA & EPA, Tocotrienols (Vitamin E) and Vitamin D3).

AquaCelle® is a patented, self-micro-emulsifying delivery system, specifically designed and clinically shown to optimize the bioavailability of fat-soluble ingredients by up to 600%.

The AquaCelle® delivery technology has been developed using only natural ingredients and customized specifically to the Omega+ formulation, enhancing its bioavailability and significantly improving the end value of the product.

AquaCelle® works by optimizing micelle formation, structures naturally produced in the GI tract to improve the absorption of fats and fat-soluble substances. AquaCelle®’s bio-enhancement technology has been scientifically validated by human pharmacokinetic studies supporting its ability to increase nutrient delivery into the bloodstream.

A recent randomized and double-blind clinical study comparing the bioavailability of an AquaCelle® enhanced fish oil to a standard fish oil formulation, concluded that the total EPA + DHA absorption in the AquaCelle® group was significantly higher than in the standard group by 6.1 times (600%). Similar results have been recorded across other fat-soluble ingredients.

VIVOMEGA™ ULTRA DHA – Omega-3 Concentrate

Omega+ contains the premium marine-derived omega-3 concentrate VIVOMEGA™ ULTRA, supplied by the esteemed Norwegian supplier GC Rieber. GC Rieber uses a proprietary green chemistry technology to produce its omega-3 concentrates under extremely mild, solvent-free conditions.

VIVOMEGA™ set the international standard in purity. Their oils are produced using an advanced molecular distillation process that only extractss the desired components, leaving behind all pollutants and impurities. These include pesticides and persistent organic pollutants like DDT and PCBs, all known to accumulate in the body and impact wellbeing. Their concentrates are also heavy metal tested for mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic.

The VIVOMEGA™ ULTRA concentrate is a superior triglyceride (TG) form; the form that naturally occurs in fish. This contrasts with many mass-marketed fish oil supplements that come in the less expensive and poorly absorbed ethyl-ester (EE) form. When comparing VIVOMEGA™ ULTRA to other TG form fish-oil supplements, VIVOMEGA™ ULTRA again sets the market standard, containing a minimum 90% triglyceride-bound omega-3s. Oxidation is another common concern with fish oil products on the market, as omega-3 is prone to oxidation when subjected to oxygen. Oxidized fish oil not only smells and tastes rancid but can also have a potentially negative impact. Totox (total oxidation) is the indicator commonly used to assess the freshness of omega-3 oils. GC Rieber calculates totox from the Anisdine and Peroxide values present in their fish oil, allowing them to measure both the current and future impact of oxygen exposure. The Global Organization for EPA and DHA (GOED) set a maximum recommended totox level of 26. VIVOMEGA™ ULTRA concentrates set their own higher standard with a maximum totox of only 10, providing confidence that Omega+ contains only high-quality non-oxidized omega-3.

Omega+ is formulated with a specialty DHA concentrate, selected for its higher concentration of DHA versus EPA. DHA is the primary structural and protective component of the brain and nerve cell membranes, as well as the light-sensitive retina layer of the eyes. The body naturally produces some DHA but not enough to support proper biochemical functioning. Supplementation with Omega+ will help ensure that optimal DHA levels are maintained.
