Saccharomyces Boulardii (Probiotic)
Saccharomyces boulardii (SB) is a non-pathogenic, non-colonising and shelf-stable probiotic yeast. It can survive stomach acid and bile en route to your intestines and does not require refrigeration to maintain stability. SB has been clinically shown to help neutralize bacterial toxins, increase short-chain fatty acids, and improve gut barrier function. It has also demonstrated the ability to modulate gut immunity, reduce pro-inflammatory responses, and kill Candida.
Saccharomyces boulardii (SB) supports a healthy gut microbiome by fertilizing friendly bacteria and crowding out the bad ones. Multiple clinical trials have also demonstrated SB’s ability to reduce the incidence of both antibiotic-associated and traveller’s diarrhea, making Gut Repair™ an ideal travel partner and supplement to take in conjunction with antibiotics.
Gut Repair™ contains a clinically therapeutic dose of 5 Billion CFU with every 10-gram serve.
Bacillus Coagulans (Probiotic)
Bacillus coagulans are a soil-based bacterial species that are naturally found in the intestines. This lactic acid-producing and spore-forming probiotic bacteria is both shelf stable and acid resistant, making it an ideal probiotic complement to Saccharomyces boulardii for supporting a healthy gut microbiome. Bacillus coagulans are also one of the most well studied probiotic species available on the market, suitable for use in the treatment of SIBO.
Bacillus coagulans have also demonstrated clinical efficacy in managing Inflammatory Bowel Symptoms while also being a potent immune stimulator with a long history of use in Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis.
Gut Repair™ contains a clinically therapeutic dose of 2 Billion CFU with every 10-gram serve.
Sunfiber® – Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum (PHGG – Prebiotic Fiber)
Sunfiber® is an extensively researched prebiotic soluble fiber made from guar beans sourced from India. Certified FODMAP Friendly by Monash University, Sunfiber® offers the perfect prebiotic and fiber solution for helping to regulate digestive function and support a healthy microbiome.
Prebiotics support the health of the gut microbiome by helping to promote friendly bacteria growth. A prebiotic is a non-digestible carbohydrate that can travel through the small intestine to be fermented in the large colon. This fermentation process selectively feeds friendly bacteria such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species, stimulating their growth and producing short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) such as butyrate.
Butyrate is a preferred energy source of the mucosal cells that line your gut wall, contributing to gut barrier maintenance and supporting immune function. Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) are also responsible for altering gut PH, creating a more acidic environment that can improve resistance to pathogenic organisms.
Fibregum™ (Prebiotic Fiber)
Fibregum™ is a premium branded form of Acacia Gum, sourced from carefully selected acacia trees located in the African gum belt and subsequently processed in Normandy, France. Fibregum™ is an all-natural, non-GMO dietary soluble fiber that is also certified FODMAP friendly.
Acacia gum has been clinically shown to promote the growth of both Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli better than other prebiotics like inulin. It may also assist with weight management by keeping you feeling satiated for longer and supporting healthy glucose management.
Acacia gum also stimulates the production of beneficial short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) such as butyrate, which supports gut barrier integrity.
Organic Green Banana Resistant Starch (Prebiotic Fiber)
Gut Repair’s certified organic Green Banana Resistant Starch will help promote a healthy gut microbiome. Resistant starch is a complex carbohydrate prebiotic food that resists digestion in the small intestines. There are four types of resistant starch, and Green Bananas are particularly high in type 2 until they ripen. The type 2 resistant starch passes through the small intestines to the colon, where they ferment. This fermentation process feeds the friendly bacteria, stimulating their growth in numbers and producing short-chain fatty acids.
Glutamine
Glutamine is an amino acid widely recognized for its role in the gut. It protects the structural integrity of the gut lining, reducing permeability and helping to heal a leaky gut. Glutamine is a preferred energy source for the intestinal mucosal cells and supports gut immune function. The body requires glutamine for the synthesis of your master antioxidant ‘glutathione’ as well as multiple neurotransmitters, including glutamate and GABA.
Marshmallow Root Extract
Marshmallow root has a high mucilage content and demulcent properties. This natural root extract can help stimulate protective mucus secretion within the gut, helping to soothe gut irritation and inflammation while also protecting the gut lining integrity and the risk of developing a leaky gut.
Aloe Vera Inner Leaf Extract
Aloe Vera Inner Leaf has a high mucilage content and anti-inflammatory properties that can help maintain healthy mucous linings in the digestive system while also soothing gut irritation and inflammation. It has traditionally been used to aid with digestive ailments such as diarrhea and constipation.
Digestive Enzymes
Gut Repair™ contains a blend of digestive enzymes to assist with digestion. The mix consists of Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Cellulase, and Lactase. Each enzyme is designed to digest specific molecules. Protease assists with protein digestion. Amylase assists with carbohydrate digestion. Lipase assists with fat digestion. Cellulase assists with cellulose digestion. Lactase assists with lactose digestion. Digestive enzyme deficiency can lead to digestive strains such as constipation and malabsorption, resulting in nutritional deficiencies than can impact brain function.
Organic Ceylon Cinnamon
Ceylon cinnamon, also known as ‘true’ cinnamon, has a long history of medicinal use that is now backed by scientific research. Cinnamon is a potent antioxidant with powerful anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, and antimicrobial properties. It can also help increase good (HDL) cholesterol, lower bad (LDL) cholesterol, and support a healthy gut microbiome.
Cinnamon has been clinically shown to assist with Type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Research has also shown it effectively lowers blood sugar levels in healthy individuals.
When supplementing with cinnamon, it is vital to use Ceylon cinnamon as other species, such as the more common Cinnamon cassia (Chinese cinnamon), contain high levels of coumarins, a potentially carcinogenic and liver-damaging compound. Gut Repair™ sources a certified organic Ceylon cinnamon extract, for quality, safety, and efficacy.
Pomegranate Fruit Extract (standardised 10% Punicalagins)
Pomegranate fruit extract contains some of nature’s most powerful polyphenols, including punicalagins, which possess incredible antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This ingredient is gaining significant international interest for its gut-related benefits and has also been shown to support healthy circulation and metabolism.
Organic Acerola Powder – Vitamin C
A natural source of the essential nutrient vitamin C, which has powerful antioxidant properties and helps promote a healthy immune system.
Saccharomyces Cerevisiae – Zinc
A natural source of the essential mineral zinc, which not only supports a healthy immune system but has also been shown to play an important role in maintaining gut lining integrity. Research has demonstrated its ability to help reduce increased intestinal permeability (leaky gut).
Beetroot Extract
No more green swamp water – we’ve added a small amount of beetroot to improve Gut Repair’s appeal to the senses by delivering a natural and more inviting purple colour while also adding further nutritional benefit.

It seems to be doing something

Honestly I’ve had diarrhoea for 73 days and thought from the previous reviews that this might help.
So figured on day 37 this was worth a shot (and genuinely think these things are a crock because there’s so much out there on the market) but I was desperate, 37 says of diarrhoea. Had already cut out gluten.
Long story short, I’m on my 2nd container and it’s like $70-80 with shipping and my gastroenterologist appointment is $260. I’ll be sure to me to mention I’ve taken the powder.
But I haven’t seen any change. If anything I’m more exhausted.
If it changes I’ll update my review.

I am on my second tub of Gut repair and so far disappointed at the results. I have had to take digestive enzymes and tissue salts for acidity as this in conjunction with the gut repair seems to stabilize my issue. I have ordered a third tub and will be interested in how I go!

Extremely bloated whilst taking it, took it with assumption that this was normal but after 2mths of being on it, I have now had a break from this for 6 days, I’ve lost weight (must be fluid) and haven’t been bloated. Unfortunately this product isn’t for me which is a shame as I loved the taste and the reviews appealed to my health issued.
