myBrainCo. was co-founded in 2017 by husband and wife team Dr. Jade Scott – B.Sci (Clin Sci), MHS (Osteopathy) and Ed Scott. Jade and Ed’s fascination with the brain and mental performance extend from their own experiences of overcoming mental illness, surviving a brain tumor, and losing beloved family members to dementia.
Jade and Ed share a passion for functional medicine and a keen interest in the area of Nootropics, dietary supplements that help support brain health and improve cognitive performance. Together, they boast 30 years’ industry experience in the fields of clinical allied health and product development for the nutraceutical industry.
Ed has spent the past 12 years working in the Australian nutraceutical industry for several household brand names. He is an experienced industry executive with a proven history in supply chain management, quality and regulatory matters, sales, and marketing. But Ed’s true passion lies in product development and creating unique science-backed solutions to better health.
Most recently, Ed was a senior executive at Evolution Health; the retail arm of Life-Space Group, where he developed and managed the premium Healthy Essentials supplement range.
Ed is passionate about mental health issues and the concept of ‘bio-hacking’ to maximize performance across all aspects of a busy life. He first discovered the power of nutritional medicine while studying Naturopathy and overcoming debilitating anxiety in his early twenties. Fifteen years on and Ed, now a devoted father and fitness fanatic like his wife, is committed to educating others on the value of nutrition and lifestyle choices.
